811 Module

  • NEW! 811 Module: We’ve added a new module for 811 Dig Alert tickets! The NEXGEN team will work with existing clients and move over users to the new 811 module after testing each client’s specific workflow. Existing 811 accounts will continue to use the Service Request module as NEXGEN coordinates migration plans with you. A member of the NEXGEN team will reach out to stakeholders to start this process. Automation Workflow

  • NEW! Service Request triggers now a part of Automation Workflow: Automation Workflows have expanded to now impact service request records, including approvals.
  • UPDATE! Linked WOs created from a Work Order automation will now automatically include assets: Newly-created linked work orders will automatically attach assets from the original work order record. This will only apply for linked work orders created from existing work orders through the Automation Workflow module. Linked work orders created from the new service request workflow triggers will not be impacted.
  • UPDATE! Attach forms (formally known as inspections) added as an action for Automation Workflows: Attaching forms (formally known as an inspections) will now be a configurable action for work order automations. Users can create a workflow automation that triggers the creation of a form. For more information on forms please see Forms Overview – Forms.
  • UPDATE! Unplanned Outage Condition now available: Work Order Automation Workflows now includes Unplanned Outage as a condition trigger.
  • UPDATE! Fields with dependencies now cascade: Department, Type, and Task should now cascade properly in Work Order Automation Workflows.

Assets & Asset Inventory

  • NEW! Legacy ID is now a standard field for assets: Legacy ID has been added as a standard field in the Asset Inventory, making it available for searching and importing. This field is meant to store the asset’s unique identifier from a previous asset management system, making it easier to cross-reference older records. Organizations that currently have their own legacy id UDF fields can reach out to [email protected] to help move data to our new standard field.
  • NEW! Total reading is now captured for assets with meter readings: A Total Reading value is now displayed to keep track of lifetime metered asset totals when the meter gets replaced and reset.
  • UPDATE! Vehicle asset class has been renamed to Fleet: The standard Vehicle class has been renamed to Fleet to better represent organizations that maintain fleet assets.
  • UPDATE! We’ve added additional fields to the existing Asset Inventory template: New fields include Manufacturer, Model Number, Serial Number, Status, Active, LOTO, Safety, Critical, and Notes. Has Redundancy, Total Assets in Process, and Number of Redundancies have also been added for the new Asset Redundancy feature. (#8253)
  • UPDATE! Spatial Queries now display closed work order records: Users of spatial queries will now notice that closed work order records and service requests will be included when selecting assets from the map. A new “Closed” button will appear showing closed records. Applied filters will also now reflect on the map allowing users to narrow into their search results.

AM Planning

  • NEW! Added the ability to choose from additional types of life cycle curves when creating an asset plan: Curve, Cliff, Arch, and Inverse are now options when creating a new asset class. For more information on the different curve types and their use cases, please see Asset Plan Lifecycle Types – Asset Plan.
  • NEW! Filters added to the Funding module: Users can now filter by multiple Classes, Locations, Processes, and Departments in the Funding module. Users also now have access to a Critical and Has Redundancy filter in the Funding module.
  • UPDATE! The AM Planning Wizard scorecard will now adjust as you filter assets by Class, Location, or Process: Users can now get granular when they are using the AM Planning Wizard and have a more accurate representation of their scorecard based on their filtering.

Condition Assessment

  • NEW! About Ratings guide in condition assessments: Condition assessments now have an About Ratings menu that can be customized per template to provide text and photos explaining each rating value.

Data Import Tool

  • NEW! More streamlined user interface: The Data Import tool has undergone some interface changes and now has a new look and feel.
  • UPDATE! More options for data import: The Data Import tool now allows users to import additional records including but not limited to: Departments, Statuses, Work Order tasks, warehouse inventory categories, warehouse items, and more!

Flushing

  • UPDATE! Flushing module changes: We’ve made quality of life improvements to the Flushing module, including Skip and Pause actions, a Completion Date field, and additional setup options.

Forms (Previously Called Inspections)

  • UPDATE! The Inspections module has been renamed to Forms: Users can still access NEXGEN inspection forms, however, all standard fields related to the Inspections module, have been updated to say “Forms”.
  • NEW! Introducing Non-Asset Based Forms: Users can now create Forms that are not attached to an asset. Non-Asset based forms can be attached directly to work orders and Preventive Maintenance records. For more information, please see Forms Overview – Forms.
  • FIX! Grid view latency has been resolved.

GIS

  • FIX! Resolved GIS sync errors. (#24369)
  • FIX! Resolved the issue of assets syncing incorrectly. (#23348)

Preventive Maintenance

  • UPDATE! Right click feature added to Grid View: Grid view now allows users to right click when opening preventive maintenance records. Right clicking on a line item will open the record in a new tab.
  • FIX! The PM Dashboard has been updated with various fixes, including a fix for the forecast for hours not working properly and one work order per asset PMs not being properly accounted for.

Scheduler

  • UPDATE! Department filter changes: We’ve updated the module to use the standard common Department and Division filters, which persist across all the Scheduler views.
  • FIX! A WO list time out issue has now been resolved.

Service Request

  • UPDATE! Right click feature added to Grid View: Grid view now allows users to right click when opening service request records. Right clicking on a line item will open the record in a new tab.

Users/User Groups

  • NEW! Okta SSO Login now supported: Organizations using Okta can now explore single sign-on login options. For more information on setting up SSO and the options for implementing a single sign-on solution, administrators are encouraged to reach out to their client account managers or [email protected] for next steps.

Warehouse Inventory

  • UPDATE! Unique Category name validation removed: Warehouse Managers can now create categories with the same name to accommodate similar categories sitting under different parent categories.
  • FIX! Resolved a positive adjustment issue on items with different UOM and UOM sale values.
  • FIX! The Negative Adjustment screen no longer shows WPN and SN selections for items with the Collect Part Detail flag turned on.

Work Order

  • FIX! Item Deletion Adjustments: You can no longer delete items from a work order when an inventory requisition is issued. (#22600)

Other Changes

  • NEXGEN direct messaging is now possible with the new chat feature: This feature is in beta and may be missing functionality on some platforms.
  • Multiple edit will now show how many records you are editing.
  • Image previews now read from Azure blob for better performance.
  • Spaces’ AuroCAD and NavVis settings menus have a new look.
