Mobile iPad App – Geographic Information System
NEXGEN Asset Management’s iPad application has a Geographic Information System (GIS) module that allows users to efficiently manage spatial assets on GIS from the field using the mobile iPad device. Users can view and retrieve asset information directly from the map view of the GIS. Users can view GIS attributes or create work orders directly from the GIS map. With GPS technology in the iPad, users will be able to see and select the nearest work orders or service requests relative to their current location. Users can select the GIS layers to be viewed on the mobile device. Users have the ability to edit or add to the asset inventory information using the iPad application. All updates are real time.
For users that prefer the full NEXGEN Asset Management desktop, laptops with internet connections (WiFi or cellular cards) will allow users to access the same application as if there were in their office. Users will have full access of all the features of the GIS module that includes, view, edit, redlining and reporting on the GIS maps.
